Kafiswe Chimpinde Mwansa is a Lecturer in Demography and Monitoring and Evaluation at the University of Zambia, with over eight years of experience in teaching, applied research, monitoring and evaluation, and consultancy. She holds a Master of Arts in Population Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Demography with Economics from the University of Zambia. She has contributed to multidisciplinary research, M&E and capacity-building assignments involving government institutions and development partners, including UNFPA, IOM, Save the Children and World Bank-supported programmes. She coordinates the University's Monitoring and Evaluation Short Course and has led national-level research, including Zambia's Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) Needs Assessment. Her research interests include population and health, maternal and newborn health, sexual and reproductive health, fertility, gender, migration, and monitoring and evaluation. She has published in international peer-reviewed journals, including BMC Public Health, Reproductive Health, Frontiers in Global Women's Health, and Discover Public Health.
