    The programmes offered are:

    1. Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine
    2. Master of Science in Veterinary Pathology
    3. Master of Science in Veterinary Epidemiology
    4. Master of Science in Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology
    5. Master of Science in Microbiology
    6. Master of Science in Parasitology
    7. Master of Science in Public Health/Zoonosis
    8. Master of Science in Poultry Medicine
    9. Master of Science in Toxicology

    Requirements to Master of Science by Research

    1. Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from the University of Zambia or its equivalent from any other recognised University.
    2. A minimum of one year of post qualifying experience or
    3. A BSc degree with a merit or better in Biological Sciences of the University of Zambia or any recognised University.
  • Master of Science – Taught programme

    The programmes offered are:

    1. Master of Science in One health Analytical Epidemiology
    2. Master of Science in One Health food Safety

    Requirements to Master of Science in One Health Analytical Epidemiology (MSc OHAE) – By Course Work

    1. (i) A Bachelors’ degree in Medicine or Veterinary Medicine with at least C+ grade in Epidemiology, Statistics or Community Medicine and A- Level Mathematics.
    2. Medical and Veterinary graduate with at least one (1) year of related Medical or Veterinary experience will have an added advantage
    3. Graduates in health related fields of study such as statistics, demography, food science ad public healthy may apply provided they are graduates from a recognised University.
    4. A Bachelors’ degree in Biological Sciences with at least a Credit and at least two (2) years post-qualifying experience will have an added advantage.

    Requirements to Master of Science in One Health Food Safety

    1. A Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Biomedical fields of study shall be formally required.
    2. Graduates from any recognized University in the field of biological sciences, Medicine, Public health, Veterinary Medicine, Environmental Health, Nursing, Food Science, Agricultural sciences, Social Sciences and any other related field of study.
    3. Candidates with observed deficiencies in particular areas will be required to undertake bridging courses.
    4. Minimum of credit or two years working experience will be an added advantage.
    5. Candidates wishing to pursue course(s) under this program may be considered and will be awarded a certificate upon successful completion. Such candidates shall not be eligible for award of MSc in One Health Food Safety.

    Requirements to Doctor of Philosophy

    Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine or Biomedical Sciences or a related field of Veterinary Medicine.
